What is the difference between electric hoist CD and MD?

  • CD type electric hoist: It is a single-speed electric hoist. It only operates at one speed (usually the regular raise/lower speed).

  • MD type electric hoist: It is a two-speed electric hoist. It offers two operating speeds:

    • Normal speed (main speed): The same normal lifting/lowering speed as CD type, used for general handling.

  • MD type: Suitable for occasions that require precise positioning, fine adjustment, safe access to the load or the operation of precise, fragile, and valuable items. For example:

    • Installation and positioning of machine tool workpieces.

    • Mold clamping and alignment.

    • Precision adjustment during equipment maintenance.

    • Install glass, precision instruments and other fragile items.

    • In situations where space is limited or smooth start/stop is required. Stronger functions and wider applicability.

• 5. Price:

  • Since the MD type has a more complex structure (two-speed motor or variable speed mechanism) and more functions, its price is usually higher than that of the CD-type electric hoist of the same specification.

If you often need to perform precise positioning, fine-tuning, or operate delicate and fragile items, and need a safer slow-speed approach function, then the MD type is a more suitable choice, although the price will be higher.
